Nikos Christoforidis is a highly experienced Athens-based litigator with more than 40 years of legal practice, having acted as lead counsel in significant litigation and arbitration proceedings across a broad spectrum of civil and commercial law. Throughout his career, he has represented major Greek and international corporations, financial institutions and investors before courts of all levels and jurisdictions in Greece, including the Supreme Court (Areios Pagos), as well as in complex arbitration proceedings. His practice encompasses high-value commercial and contractual disputes, real estate and property matters, capital markets-related litigation, trademarks protection disputes, unfair competition and intellectual property disputes, as well as highly specialised matters involving energy and wind farm regulation. Nikos has particular experience in complex real estate disputes and transactions, including significant commercial leases, property rights and matters involving specialised property regimes under Greek law. His practice also extends to industrial and intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent protection, and disputes arising from unfair commercial practices and competition. Over the course of his career, Nikos has represented prominent international clients including Microsoft, Louis Vuitton, JPMorgan, Julius Baer, Spirits International, Benetton, TUI, Nokia Siemens, Dassault Aviation and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others. From 2008 to 2022, he led a team of lawyers within the dispute resolution practice of one of Athens' largest and most highly regarded law firms, managing significant and complex contentious mandates for domestic and international clients. Nikos has also been recognised for a number of years by leading international legal directories, including Chambers Europe and The Legal 500, for his work in the Greek legal market. He remains an active courtroom lawyer, combining extensive litigation experience with strategic judgment and a detailed understanding of the commercial considerations underlying complex disputes.
